My work with clients is highly collaborative. There are three search options and my clients have to select the one that best suits their needs (see details below). This decision is often based on level of seniority, urgency to identify the candidate, and the complexities of the role. When I engage in an executive search option, there is an initiation meeting to jump start our search. This session allows all stakeholders to share their insights into why the role is crucial for the organization, the specifics of the role, and ideas about how to attract the best talent to join the firm.

After the initiation of a search, I explore and network with contacts in the field. I identify, obtain referrals, and then interview each viable candidate to see if they meet the hard, soft, and intangible skills for a client’s needs.

I select and then submit candidates that meet the criteria to clients on a rolling basis. Any submissions will include a summary of our interview, our comments or highlights, a resume and information about the candidates compensation. I expect detailed feedback from clients to help hone the parameters of any search. I can coordinate interview schedules or work with your team to do this. Post interviews I debrief all parties and share helpful feedback. I can complete references for you or you can choose to do these internally. To obtain an an offer’s acceptance, I help craft the best compensation package that is mutually beneficial to all parties.

Specialties: Most of my client companies are focused on professionals with advanced degrees- MS/MBA and PhD/MD. These professionals are doing quantitative and analytic work. They are social scientists, statisticians, economists, data scientists, and market researchers. The fields run the gamut from policy work (healthcare, education, vulnerable populations) to survey/market research, organizational development, and analytic consulting. My clients range from small and large firms, based both domestically and internationally.

Career Compass is a systemized approach to the process of assessment, tool development, and career strategy.

I have three options that will allow you to select a program that meets your needs. Sometimes you need a one hour session to clarify a specific goal, prep for an important interview, or strategize on offers/compensation. Other times you need a series of three 1 hour sessions to refresh or begin a career search with focus on career goals, a tune up your tools, and to give structure to a job hunt. Finally, if you want to dive deeper and invest in a thorough assessment of career goals and abilities, discuss and refine your tools, role play through interview prep, create your network and tracking instruments, then an advanced six sessions is best.

The value of finding a mentor, sponsor, or mentee is integral to a successful career. This can be done on an individual basis but if you can identify an organization that has one or help establish a program, it can be crucial. “Flash Mentoring” is an event designed and delivered by Julie Kantor, founder and CEO of Twomentor. It can be a wonderful sample of the impact of mentorship and with Julie’s expert guidance, the next step can be setting up company-wide mentoring programs.
